SWAN LAKE | Classic Stage

January 2 | 8:30 pm

Ballet in four acts – 17th Classical Season

Full of romance and beauty, SWAN LAKE is considered the most spectacular masterpiece of the classical dance repertoire. A theme of true romantic poetics, where good triumphs over evil.

SWAN LAKE has achieved a timeless reputation, fueled by the inspired music of Piotr Tchaikovsky and the inventive and expressive choreography of Marius Petipa. Tchaikovsky composed this masterpiece in a transcendent way: Suite Op.20 perpetuated the composer’s work. The success of his compositions is due to his ability to express feelings through musical language, creating intense and emotional melodies. Petipa and Ivanov’s choreography, which relates the human body to the movements of a swan, reveals their genius and creative capacity. The representation of the work SWAN LAKE requires great skill and high technique on the part of the dancers. The duplicity of character present in the purity of the White Swan and the intrigue of the Black Swan, demand a high degree of drama and virtuosity in the interpretation of the Principal Dancer: especially in the Grand Pas de Deux, performed in the second and third acts of the work. Another highlight is the dazzling Dance of the Little Swans.

A classic production with incredibly realistic set elements, dazzling costumes, sumptuously detailed props and a range of enchanting melodies that make up this great masterpiece of classical ballet. A cast of international artists made up of nine nationalities, give body and soul to this brilliant and irresistible classic production. An exciting and unforgettable experience. A unique show that will last in the memory of the public. Tickets now on sale!
