 This architect was born in Pontevedra, Spain. He graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture in 1966, and received his doctorate there two years later.
His interest in the restoration and conservation of urban areas, particularly in Galicia, is reflected in the wealth of projects he has designed. César Portela uses construction methods of the past and incorporates them into new forms. He adapts traditional forms and the use of enclosed glass verandas, thus integrating the structure into the surrounding landscape. Awards:
